People aren’t paddling the same way they used to, and that’s why we’re excited to introduce the first “demi-tandem” kayak from Perception. Known more formally as a “companion kayak,” this well-performing design is for the growing number of folks who like a great solo paddling experience but want the ability to bring along a child or just their pets from the same kayak.
While a tandem can do this, the Prodigy 135 drops the extra weight and seating of a tandem to keep the great performance of a solo, but offers the layout and space (including the child’s seat) to easily bring along a companion (or even two companions in some of our tests!).
